In the past to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ontario, you had to be a Certified Dental Assistant first and then work for 1 year before getting into the Dental Hygiene Program. I graduated with honours from George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology from the Dental Assistant program in 1995. After graduating I worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for 14 months. In 1996 I was accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology and graduated with Honours in June 1998.
I have worked in many areas of dentistry including general, periodontal and orthodontic offices. I have a commitment to exemplary practice which shows through my desire to update my knowledge and skills by being active in continuing education. I am authorized to self-initiate (work independently) and registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. I also maintain membership with the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association.
I look forward to helping you achieve a healthy smile!
